happy at the escape.
numb to the present.
a flight to the past.
a lingering in the memories.
the de javu moments.
a tinge of regret to the negligence.
a tinge of bitter and sadness in the silence.

it was slightly awkward
when i stepped in that day.
but after awhile, it felt strangely soothing.

do i actually prefer my life now.
